Starlight Six Drive-In Shooting Suspect Faces Murder Charges

Quentric Shamond Williams, the suspected shooter of a , is charged with murder, DeKalb County officials said.

Williams, 32, shot Mitt-Chai Lenix early Tuesday morning at the Starlight Six Drive-in Theatre off Moreland Avenue.

Lenix, a martial arts expert, died from his injuries and Williams who fled, trying to escape from a Duluth area hotel.

A spokesman for DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James told East Atlanta Patch his office has not yet received the case for review.

Until then, its too early say whether Williams will face the death penalty, spokesman Erik Burton said.

The shooting stems from a dispute, DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Pamela L. Kunz told Patch.

Why it ended in the death of a man nicknamed by his friends as "Super Ninja," police aren't saying.

"The incident was the result of a dispute, but no further information is available concerning the dispute," Kunz said.

Lenix had car trouble and investigators believe he went to Williams to ask for help.

In addition to the felony murder charge, Williams also is charged with simple assault and obstruction of law enforcement.
