"Thank You" Dinners Planned For APD's Zone 6 And Fire Station 18
Volunteer servers wanted for Atlanta's Finest and Bravest

Several East Atlanta and Virginia-Highland Patch neighborhoods are banding together to say "thank you" to the officers of Atlanta Police Department Zone 6 with Thanksgiving Day meals.
The neighborhoods under the aegis of Zone 6, which include East Atlanta Village, Kirkwood, Edgewood, East Lake and Virginia-Highland, among others, will have catered meals delivered to officers on Nov. 23.
Restaurants in Zone 6 will cater the meals, said Margie Yondorf, public safety liaison for the Kirkwood Neighbors Organization.

Separately, the Kirkwood, East Lake and Edgewood neighborhoods plan to serve catered meals to Atlanta Fire Rescue Station No. 18. Meals will be served at noon on Nov. 23, 24 and 25 to include all the firefighters. Those interested in participating with setting up or serving should e-mail Yondorf. (Please put "public safety meals volunteers" in the subject line.)
Though the catered meals also will include dessert, you're free to bring your own homemade sweets, too. Yondorf asks you label your disposable food containers with your name and address.
