The APS Redistricting Debate: Kirkwood's Official Position
Among key desires: Redistrict all of Mary Lin Elementary to Coan Middle School

The Kirkwood Community as citizens, parents and tax payers request that our leaders and elected officials to continue to maintain a fair and transparent process with regards to redistricting. The goal for redistricting is to create an education system that benefits the most children while being responsible using the financial and current building resources. Using that premise, the Kirkwood Community embraces the following redistricting options:
Elementary school comments:
Find out what's happening in East Atlantafor free with the latest updates from Patch.
1. All of Kirkwood stays together at Toomer.
2. If East Lake closes, East Lake joins Toomer.

3. Oppose K-2 at one school and 3-5 at another school.
Middle school comments:
1. Re-district all of Mary Lin Elementary attendance zone to Coan Middle.
2. Oppose creating new middle schools.
High school comments:
1. Toomer remains at Grady High School.
