The Wide Variety of an Atlanta Lifestyle

For many people, their first thoughts of Atlanta might be Scarlett O'Hara, a vision of the Atlanta Braves or an image of The Real Housewives

For many people, their first thoughts of Atlanta might be Scarlett O’Hara on the porch of Tara, or it may be a vision of the Atlanta Braves at their best, and for others it may be a vivid image of an episode of The Real Housewives. But for the resident of Atlanta, the city is much more than that. According to Carly Ledbetter of The Huffington Post,

β€œAtlanta is much more than fake-brawling and McMansion suburbs. This city is one of the most amazing cities in America … Whatever you can’t find in Atlanta, you can get to in a few hours.”

While Atlanta has many things to offer its residents, it’s clear that there is much more to the city than the visitor may recognize.

It’s a City Inside a Forest

When you land in Atlanta from the air, you’ll realize that Atlanta is a city that has been completely carved out of a vast forest. Because of that you’ll see much of the original beauty of the surrounding land is still captured within its boundaries. Residents of Atlanta take their nature very seriously and get up close and personal with it at every turn. Some will enjoy a nice run on the new Beltline, or spend a free day hiking on nearby Stone Mountain, and others will even find time to enjoy an outing at Piedmont Park. The point is that natural beauty is around you at every turn. Atlanta has already been ranked as one of the few major American cities that have more than 53% tree coverage throughout and 100% in most areas surrounding the city.

Entertainment

Atlanta is also a city full of festivals of all kinds; from the spring Dogwood Festival to the Virginia Highlands Summerfest, Atlantans love their music and their good times. Once you move there make sure that you check them all out so that you’ll enjoy the best of Atlanta’s music throughout the year.

While many people may be concerned with the cost of living, job market, and air quality, Atlanta provides all of that and a little fun too. There are many things that are difficult to learn first hand when you’re looking to relocate. Consider the words of Laura Horton in the Newcomer’s Guide to Atlanta,

β€œSometimes the hardest thing to do is get a feel for what’s really great about a city, and why people love to call it home.”

As you do your research about Atlanta, take the time to stop and smell the peaches as you go through it. The more you learn, the more you’ll want to consider finding an apartment home in the city such as the Century Peachtree Creek Apartment.
