Auto Repair Plans on Zoning Agenda
The Cobb Planning Commission on Tuesday will hear an application for a shop on Johnson Ferry Road at Woodlawn Parkway.

The Cobb County Planning Commission will consider three items in East Cobb Tuesday during its May meeting.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. on the 2nd floor BOC meeting room, 100 Cherokee Street, Marieta (See the attached PDF for the complete agenda).
The first matter is an application by Bentley Commercial Properties, LLC, to rezone 0.7 acres of property at 308 Wallace Road from R-15 (residential) to GC (general commercial).

The second request is from Alterman Woodlawn LLC to rezone 1.3 acres of property currently zoned NS (neighorhood shopping) to CRC (community retail commercial) at 1197 Johnson Ferry Road at Woodlawn Parkway.
The owner is seeking to open a light automotive repair facility. The Cobb zoning staff (see attached PDF) has recommended approval of the application, subject to the following conditions:

- Site plan received by the Zoning Division on March 1, 2012, with the District Commissioner approving minor modifications;
- No outdoor storage;
- No outdoor display of merchandise;
- No junk vehicles kept on site;
- Water and Sewer comments and recommendations;
- Stormwater Management Division comments and recommendations;
- DOT comments and recommendations.
The Planning Commission also will take up a request by to renew a land use permit for a daycare center at 1190 Indian Hills Parkway.
