🌱 Board To Consider Proposed Renovations + STEM Program Receives $50K

Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:

  1. The Cobb Board of Education will consider proposed renovations to the Lassiter High School theatre as well as renovations at Dickerson Middle School and Dodgen Middle School. Contracts to start all three projects are on the board's agenda for discussion and approval this afternoon and evening. The District will ask the board to spend $365,334 to hire an architect for the Lassiter project. (East Cobb News)
  2. Amazon donated $50K to East Cobb's Sedalia Park Elementary School's STEM program. The Cobb County School District reported that the donation will help the school upgrade a number of STEM-related facilities. Principal Tiffany Jackson said, "Amazon has helped open the doors to create a new Science Lab outfitted with state-of-the-art technology for our students and teachers!" (East Cobb News)
