Noonday Creek Trail Opens Wednesday

The trail is seven miles long and cost $11.6 million to complete.

Cobb County’s newest trail, linking several local trails in the county, opens on Sept. 3.

The Noonday Creek Trail will officially open to pedestrians and cyclists at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The seven-mile trail will have five bridges spanning the route, and will link the Town Center Mall area to the trails at the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and will be linked to the West Cobb Trail.

The project was completed in two phases, the Town Center Area Community Improvement District (TCACID) said. The first phase runs along the south side of Old 41 Highway from Stilesboro Road to the National Park area and then from the National Park area to Barrett Parkway.
