Chamberlain Hrdlicka Expands Atlanta-Based Employment and Tax Practices

The law firm of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry announces the additions of Samuel H. Grier and Joan M. McCallum.

CHAMBERLAIN HRDLICKA EXPANDS ATLANTA-BASED EMPLOYMENT AND TAX PRACTICES

ATLANTA, Aug. 18, 2015 – The law firm of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry announces the additions of Samuel H. Grier and Joan M. McCallum as Atlanta-based associates. Grier joins Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Tax Practice, and McCallum boosts the Labor & Employment Practice. Both arrive from boutique law firms dedicated to their areas of client service.

Grier began his legal career as an intern in the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service, and went on to gain corporate and tax experience as an attorney in private practice for firms in Atlanta, including King & Spalding, and Houston. He counsels clients in all aspects of federal and state tax litigation, audits, administrative appeals, U.S. Tax Court and Georgia Tax Tribunal matters. He advises on tax planning strategies related to business entity formation and operation, foreign asset disclosure and compliance, estate planning, asset protection, and estate and trust administration.

Grier earned his undergraduate degree from Mercer University, his Master of Taxation and law degrees from Georgia State University, and his LL.M. in tax law from the University of Houston Law Center.

McCallum brings five years of experience in labor and employment litigation. She guides clients in state and federal administrative and court proceedings at the trial and appellate levels, and supports the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice in a wide range of matters from employment discrimination and sexual harassment to restrictive covenants and other employment matters including collective and class action suits.

McCallum earned her undergraduate degree from Berry College, and her law degree from Mercer University.
