Here are the top three stories today in East Cobb:
- It's just a week shy of the East Cobb Cityhood referendum; both those in favor and those opposed are ramping up their arguments. Anti-cityhood group East Cobb Alliance brought to light an October 2021 draft financial study that showed a city of 60,000 running at a 3.5 million annual deficit. The Committee for East Cobb Cityhood accused the Alliance of attempting to distract voters by "peddling this non-story." (East Cobb News)
- Artisan Custom Closets was named the Cobb Chamber of Commerce's 2022 Small Business of the Year. Lisa Carlquist, Artisan president, accepted the honor on Monday at the Chamber's Small Business of the Year awards luncheon. Carlquist said that her company's mission is to "make people's lives more organized and save them time." (East Cobb News)
- Into the Film, an interactive production company, unveiled its latest immersive theatrical experience in Atlanta, called "Save the Video Store". The 75-minute production is set inside a fictional video store called MOVIEBUSTER. Visitors interact with the store's "staff" throughout the experience. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
