Cobb EMC Changes Layout of Bills, Some Discounts Hidden

The vice president of the organization is trying to inform members that discounts for on-time payments of bills are still offered.

The next time you get a bill from Cobb EMC, you might notice it looks a bit different that ones you might have gotten a month ago.

According to WSB-TV, the new bills no longer explicitly display a discount which was given to members who paid their bills early or on time. Cobb EMC Vice President Kevan Espy told WSB-TV that the discount is now factored into the base rate and no longer appears as a separate item on the bill.

Rates for Cobb EMC customers are also increasing by $1.05, WSB-TV learned. Members who pay bills late will also incur an automatic $10 penalty.
