Cobb Police Provide Update on Incidents Involving Students

One of the incidents was a false alarm, while police continue to investigate the second.

Cobb County police are providing more information regarding a pair of incidents Thursday morning which had parents concerned about their children’s safety.

In one incident, a student was allegedly approached by a dark sedan near Lindley Middle School, WSB-TV reports. In the second incident, a student was allegedly forced into a sedan near Osborne High School.

Police spokeswoman Alicia Chilton said Friday that the first incident was a false alarm; an Uber driver was behind the wheel of the sedan and was asking the student if he or she was the one requesting a ride.
