Here are the top three stories today in East Cobb:
- Earlier this month, the Cobb Board of Education adopted a fiscal year 2023 budget of $1.4 billion without a millage rate increase. Next week, the school board will have the first of three required public hearings on the millage rate. The school district is taking in $65 million more in local property tax revenues than it did in 2021. (East Cobb News)
- On Jun. 25, the Habitat for Humanity of NW Metro Atlanta and the Cobb Interfaith Habitat Coalition began construction on their annual house. This year marks the 22 annual home that has been built by the coalition, which includes 14 religious organizations and four corporate members this year. (Yahoo News)

- In case you missed it, the Cobb County Board Of Commissioners has begun the FY23 budget and 2022 millage consideration. There will be three public hearings throughout July beginning on the 12th. Get the details in the County's press release. (Press Release Desk )
- The Cobb County Public Library announced the Georgia Room's upcoming presentation of "The History of the Jekyll Island Club."
