Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:

  1. Cobb County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Lisa Cupid will deliver a State of the County address at the Chamber's Marquee event on Monday, Jun. 13. Chairwoman Cupid will address community concerns and review the county's biggest successes and milestones from 2021 as well as continued goals for 2022. The event will also include the presentation of the 2022 Woman of Distinction Award by the Chamber's Cobb Executive Women. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. State Representative Mitchell Kaye, a Republican from East Cobb, was sworn into office on Tuesday at the state capital. Kaye won a special election runoff earlier this month to finish the remainder of the term vacated by Matt Dollar, District 46 Georgia House member. Kaye was sworn in by Georgia Supreme Court Justice John J. Ellington and will serve until the end of the year. (East Cobb News)
