🌱 Early Voting Continues + EAST COBBER Founder Announces Retirement

First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:
- As early voting continues, Republican primary voters have currently cast more ballots in Cobb County. According to data provided by the Cobb Election website, 5,330 Republicans have cast early ballots while 3,232 Democrats have cast early ballots. Ballots will continue to be cast until the May 24 Primary Election. (Cobb County Courier)
- The founder and publisher of the EAST COBBER has announced her retirement. Cynthia Rozzo announced her Jun. 29 retirement date in a publisher's note for the May/June issue. During the announcement, she also announced that the EAST COBBER parade and community festival would not be occurring this year. (East Cobb News)
- The Taste of East Cobb celebration was a success this weekend. The event saw a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic but made its glorious return at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church on Saturday. Attendees enjoyed school band performances, a silent auction, martial arts demonstrations, and delicious food. (East Cobb News)

- Cobb County Public Library shares how the community celebrated Star Wars Day. Young Jedis in training made their own lightsaber, a Grogu (Baby Yoda), and R2D2, then listened to Ms. Dana read "Are You Scared Darth Vader?" (Facebook)
- Karen Molohon will be leading the 1950 Census Workshop at the library's Georgia Room. The event will be on May 21 at 1:00 p.m. (Facebook)
