One of East Cobb’s very own is one step closer to becoming recognized as the best bus driver on the face of the earth.
Michael Graham, who drives a bus at Walton High School, won the Georgia Road-E-O event in Warner Robins last week and has advanced to the international competition, which will be held on July 18-19 in Minneapolis. Graham is no stranger to the winner’s circle; he has won two of the last four state events and placed second in the other two years, Cobb County Schools says.

The Road-E-O consists of a bus safety check, followed by a challenging obstacle course designed to test drivers’ abilities to safely but expertly handle their machines. Drivers must successfully complete maneuvers such as serpentines, parallel parking, offset alley exercises and diminishing clearance and stopping maneuvers.
Graham is ranked as the fifth best driver in the nation, Cobb County Schools says.
