East Cobb Frontera Gutted by Fire

The company will reassign its employees that are now displaced due to the restaurant's destruction.

An East Cobb restaurant was ravaged by an early-morning fire Tuesday, causing the restaurant franchise to move workers to other locations.

According to WSB-TV, the Frontera Mex-Mex Grill on Powers Ferry Road was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived at 4 a.m. Crews were still on the scene at 8 a.m. Fire officials told WSB-TV they suspect that the fire began in the fryer hood.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports that firefighters had the fire under control in 45 minutes. One firefighter received a slight injury to his ankle and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, the MDJ reports.

Flames destroyed the restaurant, leaving workers without a workplace. Frontera plans to reassign the employees to other franchises in the local area, the company told WSB-TV.

Nobody was inside the restaurant at the time of the fire.
