East Cobb Items on Zoning Agenda

One retail and two residential requests will be taken up by the Cobb Planning Commission Tuesday.

The following rezoning requests in East Cobb are on Tuesday's agenda of the Cobb Planning Commission, which meets at 9 a.m. in the BOC meeting room, second floor, 100 Cherokee Street, Marietta: 

  • The continuation of a rezoning request by Alterman Woodlawn, LLC, from neighborhood shopping to community retail commercial at 1197 Johnson Ferry Road, the southeast intersection with Woodlawn Parkway. The request is held over from the Planning Commission's May 1 meeting.
  • A new request by Neda Investments, LLC, to rezone from R-20 (residential, 20,000-square-foot lot size) to R-15 (15,000-square-foot lot size) at 2975 and 2985 Holly Springs Road, northwest of Pauls Way.
  • A new request by Brooks Chadwick Capital LLC, to rezone from R-15 with stipulations to R-15 with stipulations at 1 Chattahoochee Plantation Drive, on the east side of Atlanta Country Club Drive. The owner of the property is Universal Tennis Academy, LLC.

Also on the Planning Commission agenda is the following request in Northeast Cobb:

  • A request for rezoning from low-rise office to neighborhood retail commercial for the purpose of a hair salon at 222 Hawkins Store Road, east of Bells Ferry Road. The property owner is Joan Pletch Clayton.

The Planning Commission also is scheduled to hold a public hearing and consider a recommendation to the Cobb Board of Commissioners on the Draft 2030 Comprehensive Plan 5-Year Update
