East Cobb Man Allegedly Molested Young Family Member Hundreds of Times

An East Cobb man has been arrested and charged with child molestation and other offenses after police say he had been sexually assaulting a female family member since she was eight years old.

According to a warrant obtained by the Marietta Daily Journal, 57-year-old Timothy Joey Carroll sexually assaulted the young girl approximately 200 times over the course of their ”relationship.” The warrant states that Carroll watched pornography with the 8-year-old, told her that they should recreate the images they saw in the video, then sexually assaulted the girl in the bathroom of his home in 5600 block of Asheforde Lane.

The warrant says that Carroll also sexually assaulted the girl at a hotel in Smyrna.

Carroll was arrested on Dec. 22 and has been charged with three counts of statutory rape, two counts of child molestation, one count of aggravated child molestation, and one count of aggravated sexual battery, Cobb County jail records indicate. He is being held without bond, and jail records add that Carroll is wanted by authorities in Henry and Clayton counties.
