East Cobb Teachers Receive Grants from Cobb Schools Foundation
18 teachers in the county received $22,000 in grant money to further develop their innovative ideas in the classroom.

Several teachers who serve the East Cobb community have been recognized for their creative approaches to education and have been given grants as a result, the Cobb County School District announced Thursday.
Both Kell High School’s Angie Dowling and Lassiter High School’s Diana Bishop have received 2014 Teacher IMPACT Grants from the Cobb Schools Foundation. The grants were awarded to 18 teachers who demonstrated innovative techniques and programs in their classrooms and in their schools.
Dowling received a $650 grant for the “Making Literature Alive for ESOL Students” initiative, while Bishop was given $2,265.87 grant for the “American Sign Language Club.”
