East Cobbers Earn NMS Scholarships

Several recent graduates of , and high schools have been named College-Sponsored National Merit Scholarship award winners. 

They are among the more than 2,000 students nationwide receiving between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.

The East Cobb recipients, their high schools, college choices and probable career fields include: 

• Ali Abid, Walton and the Georgia Institute of Technology, computer engineering. 
• So R. Baek, Walton and the University of Minnesota, psychology.
• Aaron R. Braunstein, Walton and Rice University, historic preservation/museum curator.
• Corey Greenwald, Walton and the University of Georgia, business.
• Alexander P. Gross, Walton and the University of Southern California, business/law.
• Tanner M. Landry, Walton and the University of Texas at Dallas, economics.
• Keagan B. Long, Wheeler and Georgia Tech, information technology.
• Marc D. Singleton, Wheeler and Vanderbilt University, science.
• Charles M. Wang, Walton and Georgia Tech, chemistry/computer science.
• Alexander G. Williams, Pope and UGA, neuroscience.
