11/20/2011 "The Best Photography Class in the World"

If you are one of those good people who want to learn photography and only have time for one class or if you are one of those people that have purchased a digital camera and don't know how to use it, this is the class for you. In this class you will earn how take great photos of family members, special events and to capture those once in a life time moments in one three to four hour class. Students will also learn composition and how to use the 'exposure triangle': shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Students will also learn the art of story telling to help them make great pictures at difficult events. This is the perfect class for beginners, people trying to decide which camera to purchase for Christmas and those who want to learn how to take great sports photos. Students will also learn how to take photographs in dark places and on the beach. We'll talk about focus, depth of field and sharpness, as well as how lenses work and students will receive a notebook filled with examples and information to help them in their quest to become a complete photographer. Atlanta Journal Constitution photographer Johnny Crawford teaches the class. He has been at the AJC for 26 years and has taught photography at Clark Atlanta University and The University of Georgia. He is currently the beat photographer for Georgia Tech football and NASCAR for the AJC. You will learn more in three to four hours than you will learn in some two to three week classes.
