Beer Pong Event

Come out and Compete in the most anticipated B&B Olympic event- Beer Pong!

Beer pong is in 1v1 format

It costs $5/competitor to pay for their half of a pitcher of Genesee. If the competitors feel that they would rather play with a different beer, they can both pay $10 instead of $5 for a pitcher of any beer of their choosing. Competitors MUST agree on the beer, as it is one pitcher/table.

Each competitor pays $5.00 to enter the tournament.  Brackets are built and play begins.

-Set up-

Each table will be set with 6 cups in a triangle at each end pointing in towards the middle of the table with a water cup for rinsing next to each triangle.  There will be (1) ball in play on each table.  A second ball will be used only for the “eye to eye” shoot out in the beginning.

(eye to eye)- each player shoots at the same time while looking at the other players eyes not the table.  Who ever makes the first shot this way will begin the game by shooting first.

-RULES-

The game is played ‘make it take it’ rules.  If you make a shot you get the ball back and shoot again.

If you make a shot the apposing player has to consume the contents of the cup you made.

A shooting player can only shoot once they have consumed all the made cups on their side.  Not saving beer till the end.

Normal shots are worth (1) cup.

Bounce shots are worth (2) cups.  ‘Bounce shots’ are made by bouncing the ball on the table before it enters the cup.  If this shot is made the cup the ball lands in and one additional cup of the shooters choosing is consumed.

Defense on the bounce.  If a player chooses to take a bounce shot the other player may swat the ball away only after the ball bounces.  This is the only time a player may interfere with a shot ball.

Distractions are not only legal they are recommended… Just remember do not interfere with a shot ball unless the ball bounces on the table.

If contact is made with a ball while it’s in the air and was not a bounce shot the shot is retaken by the same shooter.

If a defending player spills a cup then that cup is out of play as if it was scored.  (don’t be a drunk idiot and this won’t happen)

Re-rack/consolidation can be done only once per side per game on the shooting players request to move the cups back into a closer built shape. You may shoot while the cups are being moved into place this is called ‘Sniping’ and is a very sneaky way to make a shot in your competitors face.

The game is played until all the cups on one side are made.  At this point the losing player has a retaliation shot.  If on the retaliation shot they make the last cup on table then a 3 cup sudden death is played with normal rules. The only change is after sudden death there is no retaliation shot.

PLEASE RSVP for this event. If we have a large amount of people who wish to compete, we will open early to accommodate the event. End time is tentative based on the number of players we have.
