Public Service Commission Candidate Addresses Cobb Energy Alliance

PSC Democratic Candidate Steve Oppenheimer ( http://www.steveforgeorgia.com/ ) will address the monthly meeting of the Cobb Alliance for Smart Energy (CASE - www.cobbemcwatch.org) on May 8. Mr. Oppenheimer is a former small business owner and a long-time community activist interested in energy security and energy independence issues. He pledges to represent consumer interests and to make sure our power is produced in Georgia and from more diversified sources like natural gas, bio-fuels, solar, and wind.

The Public Service Commission regulates utilities like Georgia Power, determines what we pay for electricity rates and where our power comes from, and plays a major role in deciding whether the power is produced in an economically and environmentally sound manner. The PSC touches the basic aspects of our lives.

Join us to hear this potential new voice on this important agency.
