Firefighters Battle Blaze at East Cobb Home

Cobb County firefighters were dispatched to a burning home in East Cobb on Tuesday morning.

According to Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services spokesman Dan Dupree, the fire at 1277 Harewood Trail was reported at 10:17 a.m., with fire units on scene nine minutes later. The first firefighters on scene saw flames coming through the roof near the chimney and discovered the fire raging inside the attic.

Fire investigators are examining the cause of the blaze, but initial evidence points to an accident causing the fire.
