Florida State Student from East Cobb Describes Shooting Incident
The gunman injured three people before he was killed by police.

A former student at an East Cobb high school was in the library at Florida State University on Thursday morning when an armed man entered the building and began shooting, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The young woman asked not to be identified, but said she had attended Walton High School before graduating to Florida State this year. She said she was working on a chemistry project on the first floor of the campus’ Strozier Library when FSU alumnus and licensed lawyer Myron May walked into the library armed with a handgun and opened fire.
The student and her friends escaped the chaotic scene by using a back entrance, she said. They made it to an adjacent building, where they were holed up until the early morning by police. She said that the police responded quickly and did their best to console and assist the students.
