Former East Cobb Parochial School Principal Sentenced for Sex Acts With Minors
Jack Hibbs will serve at least 30 years in prison before he is eligible for parole, the Cobb County District Attorney's Office said.

The former principal at an East Cobb parochial school pleaded guilty to child molestation charges and was sentenced to prison on Monday, the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Jack Duane Hibbs, formerly the principal at Faith Lutheran Church and School, pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated child molestation, one count of sexual exploitation of children, and three counts of child molestation just before jury selection was to begin for his trial, the District Attorney’s Office said.

The first allegations against Hibbs arose in August of 2013, when a young man told authorities that Hibbs had molested him at his family home when he was 15 years old. Another victim came forward shortly after and said that Hibbs had molested him on school grounds. A third victim also came forward and accused Hibbs of molesting him, the District Attorney’s Office said.
Following Hibbs’ guilty plea, Cobb Superior Court Judge A. Gregory Poole immediately sentenced Hibbs to a life term in prison. He will be eligible for parole in 30 years

“The evil that has come through is just horrendous. You hunted some of them down and robbed them of their innocence,” Poole told the defendant. “You cannot be trusted. No one else needs to worry you’re going to harm their children.”
