Girls Preview: Walton (11-9, 4-4) was on a four-game winning streak until two losses in a row redirected its momentum. The Lady Raiders travel to Lassiter (1-16, 0-7) on Friday for their first meeting of the season against the Lady Trojans. Walton is in fourth place in Region 5-AAAAA play while Lassiter hasn’t won a regional game this season.

Boys Preview: Starting with an upset win on Jan. 25 over Wheeler, Walton (14-6, 7-1) has won four games in a row. Sure the last two have been overtime wins, but as tournament time nears, any win is a positive momentum builder. The Raiders travel to Lassiter (9-9, 6-2) on Friday and put their share of the 5-AAAAA region lead on the line.
