Gold Swimmer Commits to UGA

After a standout career with the Chattahoochee Gold club team, swimmer Lexi Glunn has committed to swim for the University of Georgia.

Besides the University of Georgia, Lexi also considered LSU, the University of Kentucky, the University of South Carolina and Georgia Tech.

“Choosing a school was much easier than I would have thought. They were all great but at the end of the day UGA offered everything I was looking for. And it doesn’t hurt that the school is close to home and the campus is beautiful!”

Looking back on her time with Chattahoochee Gold, Lexi is most proud of these accomplishments: Junior National qualifying times in the 100 & 200 Breaststroke and the 200 & 400 Individual Medley, winning the 200 Breast and 400 IM at the Georgia Long Course State Meet, and making the Zone Team as a 12 and 16-year-old.

She says swimming with Gold not only made her a better swimmer, but also taught her, “…how to manage my time (it’s hard going to practice every day and maintaining a good GPA) and set and achieve my goals. I have great memories and had so much fun!”

Lexi is a senior at Lassiter High School in Marietta and trains with Chattahoochee Gold at the Mountain View Aquatic Center.
