Goodwill Set to Open Eighth Cobb County Store
Lower Roswell (Marietta) Store Location Opens Thursday

Staff Report
Goodwill of North Georgia will soon open the doors to its 52nd store location. The new Lower Roswell store, located at 4930 Davidson Road (Marietta, Georgia 30068), includes a drive-up donation center and will open to customers at 9:00 am on Thursday, March 19.
Including the new location, Goodwill operates eight stores in Cobb County alone. The nonprofit also has ten stand-alone donation centers in the area. “Not only are we growing our Cobb County footprint, but with this new location, we were able to bring nearly 40 new jobs to the community,” says Director of Public Relations Elaine Armstrong. “As an organization focused on job training and employment, we take pride in the fact that we can also create jobs when we grow our business.”

When shoppers enter the Lower Roswell store, they’ll find bright graphics along the walls telling the story of Goodwill’s mission. “Our mission is to put people to work. We do this through a variety of job training programs and employment services. We use the sale of donated goods to fund those activities,” explains Armstrong. Last year, Goodwill helped more than 14,000 individuals find employment across North Georgia.
Beyond the décor, customers will find everything from clothing and shoes to books and jewelry on the sales floor. Those who visit the store during the first four days of business (March 19 – March 22) will have the opportunity to enter hourly drawings for Goodwill gift certificates.
