On Wednesday, September 24, at 6:15pm in the church chapelthe Mt. Zion United Methodist Women will present a seminar on human traffic, important given the fact that over 400 children are trafficked each month in Atlanta alone. The presentation, “Human Trafficking: A Look beneath the Surface,” will be led by Rosemary Uebel, current Chair of the United Methodist Cooperative Ministries and a member of the Florida Conference UMC Social Justice Committee.
Her aim is to help eradicate human trafficking in Georgia and the rest of the world by ”preventing, protecting and prosecuting” so that “no one, anywhere, should be in slavery” and that ”every victim deserves a chance to be free and to heal.”
Mt. Zion UMC is at 1770 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta. Call the church office at 770-971-1465 for information.
