Jim Minnick Named to Institutional Investor Magazine's Global Tech 50

Marietta, Ga.-based institutional investor data and analytics company recognized for continued growth and technology innovation.

Jim Minnick, CEO and co-founder of Marietta, Ga.-based eVestment, has placed No. 38 on Institutional Investor Magazine’s 2015 Tech 50 list. The list recognizes the top fintech leaders and companies serving the global institutional investor industry.

This year, Minnick and eVestment moved up to No. 38, from No. 45 on last year’s list.

Minnick and eVestment were recognized for the company’s overall growth in revenue and number of employees, its push into private equity data with the acquisition of TopQ, and the launch of several new solutions during the year, including eVestment Scorecard, aimed at helping eVestment clients use data and insight to make better decisions.

During the past year, eVestment added about 100 employees, bringing the company’s total workforce to about 350. The bulk of the company’s employees work at eVestment’s Marietta headquarters, with the balance located in offices in New York, London, Dubai, Edinburgh, Hong Kong and Sydney, as well as several remote employees located in various cities around the United States. eVestment expects to add another 80 to 100 people during 2015.

Executives and companies can be nominated for the Institutional Investor Tech 50 list by the magazine’s readers and staff members of the magazine also bring names of potential list-makers to the table. Four primary attributes are evaluated to determine who gets on the list and their ranking. Those are achievements and contributions over the course of a career; scope and complexity of responsibilities; influence and leadership inside and outside the organization; and pure technological innovation.

Minnick founded eVestment in 2000 along with his wife Karen, Matt Crisp and Heath Wilson.
