Kell Students Commemorate 9/11 With 3,000 Flags
The flags were planted in front of the school building early Thursday morning by student volunteers.

Kell High School’s students commemorated the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania by planting approximately 3,000 small flags in the ground in front of the school Thursday morning.
According to The Marietta Daily Journal, dozens of students arrived to the campus early to help create the memorial.
Many of the students would have no memory of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks; Kell’s freshmen would have been around one year old at the time, and the Class of 2015 was only five or six when the attack took place.
