Lassiter High School Band Headed to Rose Parade
Cobb Students Now Raising Money for Trip to 130th Annual Tournament of Roses in Pasadena

MARIETTA, Ga., Feb. 5, 2018 - The Lassiter High School Marching Band is among a select few high school bands, worldwide, invited to perform in the 130th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade on Jan. 1, 2019. In preparation for the trip, Lassiter High School band students are already hard at work on their music, marching technique .... and money-raising.
With the expected high cost of transporting more than 250 students, educators and equipment to Pasadena, Calif., the Lassiter Band Booster Association (LBBA) has already begun an ambitious fundraising program.
“It’s a huge honor to be invited to the Tournament of Roses Parade, and our students are excited for this rare opportunity to perform on the world stage,” said LBBA President Michael Helmly. “We’re grateful to have a full year to prepare so that all our students are able to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime trip.”
