Lassiter Senior Dies on Final Day of Semester
Arjun Chopra had just finished giving a presentation when he collapsed at his desk, Cobb County Schools said.

A senior at East Cobb’s Lassiter High School died last Friday following a medical emergency in class, FOX 5 Atlanta reports.
According to the news outlet, senior Arjun Choprahad just finished giving a presentation and had returned to his desk when he collapsed. Students and coaches rushed to give the student CPR, FOX 5 says, and he was rushed to a local hospital. Chopra died at the hospital, FOX 5 reports.
In a letter to the Lassiter community, Principal Dr. Chris Richie confirmed Chopra’s death and wrote that the senior was, “a generous young man always willing to share his knowledge with others.

Arjun was a dedicated student and positioned himself well for a bright future after graduation.”
Richie added his condolences to the Chopra family and said that resources would be made available for any Lassiter students who needed someone to talk to following Chopra’s death.

Sprayberry High School postponed Friday night’s scheduled basketball games against Lassiter in respect for the friends and family of the deceased student.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lassiter HS family,” tweeted Sprayberry principal John Kelly on Friday afternoon.
