Last Chance to Adopt Me Saturday at a Reduced Fee and More

Don't miss your last chance Saturday to adopt a black or black & white cat at a reduced adoption fee. Also, it;s the last day of our Flea Market, with 50% off most items.

Hey, I am Chico! Aren’t I cute? My sister, Lulu just got adopted and I am hoping it is my turn Saturday! I have 4 other siblings with me at the shelter and they are all black. So we are all part of the Back in Black adoption special supported by Best Friends Animal Society. We have a reduced adoption fee of $50! We are so excited to be a part of this awesome special! I am a playful kitten that loves to have fun! So come by and see me today. The shelter at 736 Johnson ferry Rd, Marietta is open 1pm-4pm. My friends Francois & Vixen will also be there, waiting to be adopted.

But first be sure to stop by the Spring Flea Market from 9am-5pm! We still have TONS of great items!! House-wares, books, jewelry, purses, pet items, art work, home décor, electronics..you name it, we have it! And the majority of the items are 50% off!! That is a steal! So stop by, do some shopping, buy some super yummy baked goods, then come by and play with me, and hopefully fall in love and take me home! Here is the address for the flea market:Sandy Plains Exchange (Publix) Shopping Ctr 1860 Sandy Plains Rd at Scufflegrit Rd, Marietta, 30066 Behind QuikTrip.

Hello. My name is Francois. I am a senior and very shy, but maybe someone will come in wanting a quiet kitty to join their family. Oh yea..I also have a brother, Stephan, that has to go with me. He is orange. Stephan and I pretty much have opposite personalities. I am shy and sometimes hiss or swat if I don’t want to be bothered. But it is an act. Once I am in a quiet home and start to feel safe, I will lighten up. I am active for my age, however I am only 13! That is not old. But I do like to run. Last Saturday I kept running back and forth through the shelter. It was fun. Everyone was laughing at me because my belly was flopping around! Hahahaha. So Stephan is more outgoing. All the human ladies love him. They are always hugging and kissing on him: gross. He says if I let the ladies hug on me, I would like it. Hmm…I don’t know..maybe. We had a home once but our family abandoned us and left us in a carrier on a chilly night. It was freaky, but someone found us and brought us to Good Mews. We are thankful, but would really prefer to have a nice home. If you are thinking about adopting two older cats, one shy and one outgoing, will you consider us?

Hello, I am Vixen. This is my fourth year at Good Mews and I am hoping I will find a forever home soon. I like it here because I have lots of friends, but I think I would really enjoy a quiet home with another kitty or two to hang out with. I have posted on Facebook a few times when we have had adoption specials and one time I was the featured cat of the month, but none of that helped me find a home. So what do you think I should do? Maybe I should jump in someone’s lap and purr? I know that would help, but I am just not ready for that. I am shy and a lot of noise and activity makes me nervous, that is why I keep out of the way on adoption days. But once the shelter is quiet, I do come out and walk around and sometimes let people pet me. So I know once I am comfortable in a home, I will do the same there. It just might take me a little longer than most kitties. What I would really love is to go home with one of my pals here at the shelter. I like Mr Hyde a lot, so maybe someone will consider us? But either way, I think it would be nice to finally have a home of my own. So if you think you would like to adopt a shy cat, will you consider me?
