Letter Threatening Cobb Serviceman A Hoax, Police Say
The man who reported the incident is now sought for filing a false police report.

Cobb County police say that the serviceman who reported a threatening letter left on his windshield put the letter there himself.

“Through investigation by the Cobb County Crimes Against Persons Unit, it was determined that the victim, Brett Downing, manufactured the note himself,” department spokeswoman Alicia Chilton told Patch. Chilton declined to release information on how police determined Downing was responsible for the incident.
