In Loving Memory of H.G. "Mac" McCurdy, Jr., 83

H.G. “Mac” McCurdy, Jr., 83, of Alexander County, NC died Thursday, August 6, 2015. Mac proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He moved to Marietta to work for Lockheed and later went to work for Delta Air Lines where he retired as General Foreman of Quality Control after 35 years. Mac was an ordained deacon and most recently a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.

Survivors include the love of his life, wife, Hazel; son, Steve, wife Wynn; two daughters, Lori and Sheri, husband Richard; six grandchildren, Meghan, Jeffrey, wife Andrea, Tyler, Sydney, Ethan, Caterina; four great grandchildren and one surviving brother, James of Statesville NC.

Mac loved to fix things and was always ready to help a friend in need of his “Shade Tree Mechanic” services.

His funeral service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, August 12th in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Dr. Don Mason officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
