In Loving Memory of Roy H. Webber, 77

Roy H. Webber, age 77, of Marietta passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2015.

A husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Webber was a man with a talent for seeing truly valuable things in the world. He was a member of the Peach State Depression Glass Club, Coast Guard Auxillary, and National Toothpick Holders Society. He enjoyed collecting, categorizing, and restoring pipes, hats, glass, and toothpick holders. He was nicknamed “Captain Ebay” by his family as he could find treasures whether at yard sales or at auction.

Mr. Webber enjoyed reading and also was an avid boater. Many memories were created of the time that he spent boating with his family on Lake Altoona. Mr. Webber was great at woodworking. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t make out of wood.

He worked as an Electrical Engineer for Lockheed Martin for over 25 years. He was a graduate of Purdue University and SUNY of Buffalo, NY.

Roy H. Webber is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen Webber; daughters, Susan Rickles of Tampa, FL and Jennifer (Chris) Pendarvis of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Hannah, William, and Hailey Rickles all of Tampa, FL and Rachel, Charlotte, and Wendy Pendarvis of Woodstock, GA; sister, Janet (Vern) Nordstrom of Schenectady, NY; and mother in law, Floris Bonnett of Kennesaw, GA.

The family will receive friends Saturday 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, GA. Funeral Services will be held Sunday 2:00 PM at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA with a reception to follow. A private interment will be held at Pineridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw, GA. Contributions may be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
