Lower Roswell Road Closure Saturday

Road work will affect traffic between Surrey Trail and St. Lyonn Place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday; at least one lane will be open at all times.

Cobb road construction crews will be working on a rare Saturday today along a short stretch of Lower Roswell Road in East Cobb. 

Grading and rock base work will force lane closures along Lower Roswell from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. today, according to the office of East Cobb commissioner Bob Ott

At least one lane of traffic will be open during that period, and no work is planned for Sunday.

That stretch of Lower Roswell is in a largely residential area in extreme eastern Cobb, east of Johnson Ferry Road and as it turns northward and runs close to the Morgan Falls Reservoir. 

More Lower Roswell Road closures are scheduled for next week in the same vicinity.

Lower Roswell between Thackston Drive and Surrey Trail will be affected by storm drainage and water and sewer main work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through next Sunday, Jan. 15. 

Lower Roswell between Surrey Trail and Talley Green Drive also will be down to one lane of traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through next Sunday, Jan. 15 for clearing and grading work. 

And Lower Roswell at Glenverness Drive will experience periodic lane closures during the same period, Monday through next Sunday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for gas main repairs.
