🌱 Lunar Eclipse This Sunday Night + Change The Way You Age Expo

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in East Cobb.

Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:

  1. East Cobb residents can look up into the night skies this weekend to see the total lunar eclipse. The celestial event will begin around 10:30 p.m. Eastern time this Sunday, May 15. Lunar eclipses are safe to view directly. (Access WDUN)
  2. The Change the Way You Age Expo! will be held at the Cobb County Civic Center on Wednesday, May 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Seminars on Medicare and Fraud and Forgery will be offered as well as health screenings and other services provided by Northside Hospital. More than 75 vendors will be there with giveaways, promotional items, and products you can buy. (cobbcounty.org)
  3. A federal grand jury indicted Carl Delano Torjagbo of Marietta for fraudulently obtaining millions of dollars through a COVID-19 relief program. Torjagbo, also known as Karl Lucius Delano, is accused of creating a fictitious company that defrauded a bank out of a $9.5 million Paycheck Protection Program loan. After securing the money, Torjagbo transferred $3 million to other banks. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
