UPDATE: Elderly Man With Dementia Found Safe

Before being located safely, the 74-year-old was last seen at an East Cobb shopping center on Wednesday afternoon.

UPDATE (6:40 p.m.): Marietta police say that James “Jim” Collins, 74, has been located safe and sound. He had last been seen at the Big Lots on Roswell Road at about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday.

ORIGINAL STORY (5:40 p.m.): Marietta police are asking for the public’s help to locate an elderly man with dementia who walked away from an East Cobb shopping center on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, James “Jim” Collins disappeared from the Big Lots at 1375 Roswell Rd. at approximately 4:20 p.m. Collins, 74, is described as a white male who stands 5’11” tall, weighs 220 lbs., and has bright white hair. He was last seen wearing a tan windbreaker, tan polo style shirt, black polyester pants, and black slip-on shoes.
