According to the GSU researchers, organized crime groups are robbing postal workers at gunpoint, stealing their keys, and then raiding drop boxes across the county. Checks are stolen from the drop boxes and then sold on the dark web. The US Postal Service is monitoring the mail fraud scheme. (WSBTV.com)
3. Gasoline prices in Cobb County are rising again after falling in price in the last few weeks. The average price of gas in the county is at $3.82 per gallon — one cent below the state average. According to AAA, the gas price increase is due to increasing demand and rising crude oil prices internationally. (Cobb County Courier)
