Here are the top three stories today in East Cobb:

  1. Cobb Young Professional (CYP)'s Next Generation Mentoring Program is currently accepting applications. The program, which launched in 2014, is designed to develop the future leaders of Cobb County's business community.   2. East Cobb schools achieved some of the top scores in Georgia Milestones testing results for 2021-2022. According to data released by the state's Department of Education on Friday, 73.7 percent of students from East Cobb and other Cobb County schools read at or above grade level — the highest percentage in metro Atlanta. Cobb students across grade levels and subjects also achieved the highest average of "proficient" learners, compared to other nearby districts. (East Cobb News)
