Although the age of consent in Georgia is 16, the federal age of consent is 18 and therefore receiving images of a 16-year-old over the internet is a federal child pornography offense.
Bowman pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving child pornography on Oct. 15, 2014, KOAM said.
