Mother Sexually Assaulted in Marietta Apartment: News Nearby
The woman's three children were at home at the time but did not witness the attack, police said.

Marietta police are questioning a man matching the description of the person who entered a Marietta woman’s apartment on Tuesday morning and sexually assaulted her.
According to WSB-TV, the suspect entered the residence inside the 1250 West apartment complex on Powder Springs Street through the unlocked front door, herded the woman’s three children into a back room, then attacked their mother. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Upon arrival at the scene, Marietta police established a dragnet in and around the complex, and soon found a man who matched the victim’s description of her attacker. That man, officially dubbed a person of interest, has been taken back to Marietta police headquarters for further questioning.
