Animal Planet television star Jackson Galaxy made a special appearance in East Cobb on Friday to get a sneak peek of a unique cat shelter which is opening next month.
Galaxy, star of ‘My Cat From Hell,’ stopped by the new Good Mews Animal Shelter at 3805 Robinson Road and got a tour of the facilities, the Marietta Daily Journal reports. The shelter will feature no cages, allowing the cats free reign of the 5,800 sq. ft. space.

Jackson has praised Good Mews and its old shelter on Johnson Ferry Road in the past, featuring it on his social media and donating 15,000 cans of cat food to the shelter, a Good Mews spokeswoman told the MDJ.
Although private donations of some $1 million were enough to build the new shelter, Good Mews is seeking additional money to complete on-site spaying and neutering facilities which can also double as vaccination and veterinary services areas.
