New Online Tool Allows Voters To Monitor Lines at Polls: Report

Advance voting in Cobb County for the Nov. 8 presidential election began on Oct. 17, and this year, the county has introduced a new online tool that lets voters monitor wait times at polling places.

Currently, voters can cast their ballots at two locations:

Main Election Office (736 Whitlock Ave., Marietta)

• 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays, Oct. 17-Nov. 4
• 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturdays, Oct. 22 and 29

• 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Mondays-Fridays, Oct. 17-Nov.
• 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturdays, Oct. 22 and 29

Cobb County staffers developed the new web-mapping tool, and it's updated four times a day. according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

More satellite voting locations will open next week, starting Monday, Oct. 31. All early voting sites in Cobb County will close on Friday, Nov. 4.

Satellite voting locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Here's a list:

• East Cobb Government Service Center, 4400 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta
• South Cobb Community Center, 620 Lions Club Drive, Mableton
• Boots Ward Recreation Center (Lost Mountain Park), 4845 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs
• NorthStar Church, 3413 Blue Springs Road NW, Kennesaw
• Noonday Baptist Church sanctuary, 4120 Canton Road, Marietta
• East Cobb Senior Center, 3332 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta
• Windy Hill Community Center, 1885 Roswell St. SE, Smyrna
• South Cobb Recreation Center, 875 Six Flags Drive, Austell
• Ron Anderson Recreation Center (Wild Horse Park), 3820 Macedonia Road, Powder Springs
