Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:
- Georgia Public Broadcasting (GBP) invites community members of all walks of life to take part in One Small Step by StoryCorps. The initiative is designed to connect strangers with different political perspectives for one-on-one conversations. Four branches of the Cobb County Library — North Cobb, East Cobb, Vinings, and Sewell Mill — will serve as spaces for these conversations. (Cobb County Public Library)
- On Tuesday, the Cobb Board of Commissioners will discuss design work for a planned realignment of the intersection of Bill Murdock Road and Pine Road. The project at Walton High School is one of several projects by Cobb DOT requiring public hearings due to the $100,000+ price tag of engineering and design costs. - Scattered showers are expected for East Cobb this weekend. Today's weather calls for a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms but will otherwise be mostly sunny with a high around 89.
