Police Still Searching for Killers of Marietta Cab Driver's Son

The suspects allegedly robbed the driver and his son after being delivered to a condo complex in the Franklin Road area.

Marietta police are searching for two people responsible for the death of a 22-year-old man who was shot inside his father’s taxi last week.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tomas Arriola Sr. and his son Tomas Arriola Jr. had delivered the suspects to the St. Augustine condominiums off of Franklin Road on Feb. 18 when one of the passengers pulled out a gun and tried to rob the pair. The younger Arriola was shot during a struggle before the two suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, police told the AJC.

The elder Arriola drove his son to a nearby convenience store to get help. Police found him there at 1:45 p.m., and transported him to Kennestone Hospital. The younger Arriola died at the hospital.
