Press Release: Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Celebrates Five Years as Award-Winning Atlanta New Home Builder
Cobb-Based Residential Construction-Development Company Reflects on Achievements of 2014 While Looking Ahead to Continued Success in 2015

Atlanta, March 31, 2015 – 2014 was a year filled with achievements and accolades for Atlanta-based homebuilder, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. Beyond the remarkable growth of its influence throughout Metro Atlanta with the addition of nine new communities throughout the course of 2014, Acadia Homes debuted a highly lauded Design Gallery, added a number of awards to its trophy case, and introduced a sleek new brand image complete with logo, website, and tagline, “All About You.” One quarter into 2015, and Acadia Homes shows no signs of slowing as it celebrates its fifth anniversary as an award-winning Atlanta new homebuilder.
“When Thomas Olson, Jon Roby and I first set out to establish ‘A New Builder For A New Time’ with Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, there was no way to forecast where we would be today,” said Gregg Goldenberg, company president and CEO. “We launched in 2010, just a couple of years after the bottom fell out of the housing market nationwide. Our original model was simple – to purchase entire developments or home sites within previously established developments and transform them into communities through smart construction practices, thoughtfully executed floorplans, competitive pricing and – perhaps most important – a focus on providing a positive home buying experience to our customers.”
Comprised of just six neighborhoods at its inception, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods currently has 15 active communities in Cobb, DeKalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall and Jackson Counties – with five more on the way over the course of the next few months. During 2014, Acadia Homes was recognized by the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association with five OBIE Awards for everything from Sales Manager of the Year to Best Interior Merchandising of a Model Home and by the National Association of Home Builders with a National Award for the stunning realization of its unique and interactive Design Gallery. It also placed at #9 of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s list of Top 20 Home Builders in Atlanta. While the Acadia Homes team enjoys the accolades it receives from the media and industry experts, the greatest rewards come from the praise of its home buyers.

“’All About You’ isn’t merely a tagline – it’s our company philosophy,” stated Goldenberg. “Our home buyers are the ones to which we should be most grateful. The first ones took a chance on a relatively unknown builder – they didn’t necessarily know that we had a combined 50 years of experience to back us up, they just knew that they liked what they saw. Since then, it’s been a series of building blocks as word continues to spread about Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. Most of that buzz is coming from our home buyers, to which we are eternally grateful. In 2015, we are committed to the continual improvement of our product and our customer experience. Those have been the keys to our success over the course of the last five years, and will continue to be so for the next five and beyond.”
In 2015, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods plans to place a larger focus on adding communities inside the perimeter, particularly those that feature the builder’s luxury townhome product. Outside the perimeter, Acadia intends to return to its roots by presenting its single family home product on a larger scale – with greater square footage and lots of special touches throughout. The Design Gallery – which opened in 2014 – will continue to factor heavily in Acadia’s delivery of a unique and unsurpassed home buying experience, regardless of size and style of home.
